World’s Highest Glass-Floor Observatory, Seoul Sky

Lotte World Tower, Seoul Sky is the third tallest observatory in the world. It boasts the world’s highest glass-floor observation deck in addition to the world’s tallest double decker lift with a 4-sided monitor. If you’re extremely sensitive to elevation change like me, then prepare yourself.

As the tallest building in South Korea, Seoul Sky is the only place you can experience a 360 view of the capital.

My favourite part was Sky Deck – the adrenaline rush of floating 478m (119 floors) into the sky. There are two separate glass-floor observation decks on opposite ends; one with an optional photo station by the Seoul Sky staff and another with a more unique surprise experience. Catch a glimpse here.

Words cannot describe the breathtaking panoramic views of Seoul city from 123 floors up. You can reserve a ticket online or purchase one onsite for 27,000 KRW.

Catch some fresh air by the Sky Terrace – an open observation deck, take leisure by the café above the clouds, or browse through the souvenir shop full of exclusive tower-themed items. My mom bought a magnet, our classic souvenir pick, in memory of our first visit to Seoul Sky.

I Ate Over 4,500 Calories At Disneyland

I turned 23 this past Sunday at the happiest place on Earth!
I’m an absolute food fanatic so in celebration of my birthday, I indulged in all my guilty pleasures because we all know calories don’t count at Disneyland.

Churro Carts | Churros
I don’t think I’ve ever gone to an amusement park without grabbing one of these to-go. Right now, you can also find limited edition speciality churros: lightsaber churros in red and blue or golden churros in light of the Pirates of the Caribbean’s 50th anniversary.

Maurice’s Treats | Cheddar Garlic Bagel Twist
The epitome of my kind of carb heaven. You can find this glorious cheesy greatness in Fantasyland.

I have this thing for marshmallows, so I couldn’t pass up trying one of the many marshmallow wands in Critter County. Snag your favorite Disney character or enjoy their seasonal decorative colors and designs.

In n Out | Grilled Cheese w. Grilled Onions & Fries
Unfortunately, the French Market restaurant that serves the parmesan garlic french fries I wanted was closed by the time I stopped by. So on our way back home, we stopped by In n Out’s drive thru where I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with grilled onions, buns toasted and a side of well-done fries.

My friends and I decided to take a trip down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for our last undergraduate spring break back in April 2016. We spent our four days keeping distance from the typical college crowd and explored the city with Cabo Adventures.

Day 4 | Luxury Sailing
We spent our last full day in Cabo San Lucas sailing the Sea of Cortés. We were welcomed onboard with bottomless mimosas, shrimp skewers, and my favorite – chips & guac.

Day 1 | Getting Situated
Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa is located on what seems to be a private beach – an ideal location without the infamous spring breakers. It’s also a good alternative for families with children.

I ordered a salad and the “Cappesante”, seared scallops with sautéed spinach and oyster sour cream topped with truffle caviar – a delicious but light pick for me. I usually suffer from indigestion after a flight, so I played it relatively safe.

We were then kindly given a complimentary dessert platter with macarons, chocolate liquor, pastry balls, and some sort of gelatinous treat.

Before we turned in, we took a taxi to a nearby supermarket to grab snacks and brekkie bits since we had two full kitchens in our pad – lol.

Salvation Mountain

IMG_7673

Salvation Mountain is located in the lower desert of Southern California in Imperial County, several miles from Salton Sea. The 50 ft high visionary landmark represents Leonard Knight’s tribute and reads “God is Love”. Covered in bright paint, this man-made mountain is 28 years in the making with unique sculptures and adornments made up of telephone poles, tires, and other random bits. It was scorching hot when my friend Genie and I visited, but I’d say it’s worth breaking a sweat to see this one-of-a-kind.

Back in 2016, my friend and I took a road trip to explore my very first National Park. Our first stop inside Joshua Tree was Arch Rock. We started at White Tank Campground and made our way through the geologic wonders just in time to catch the sunset. Pictures do no justice – it’s definitely a place you have to see for yourself.

Tattooed Brows Without Commitment

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 preset

Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow

I’ve contemplated microblading my brows for as long as I can remember. Today, tattooing your brows is an extremely popular cosmetic procedure – even my grandmother has hers done. Despite my sparse brows, I’ve never been able to bite the bullet because I like to switch up my brow shape according to different makeup looks or simply the mood I’m in. Tattooed makeup might be the most convenient idea, but for those of you who are looking for long lasting brows without the commitment, I would recommend my go-to Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow.

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 preset

On one side of the dual-ended pen is the main brow product, which has a thick but pointed marker, while the other side has a tinted brow mascara. The “tattoo ink” has an interesting moist texture that dries into the perfect light-weight finish.

I also enjoy applying the Clio Kill Brow pen quite heavily before bed to allow the product to really sink in overnight. After my morning skincare routine, my brows look much more natural with the perfect long lasting stain. Top it off with the mascara and your brows will be #onfleek!

Leave me any comments, questions, or suggestions of your favourite brow products.

SWISS Air

IMG_7679

Here’s a ‘lil #ThrowbackThursday

I absolutely adored the (then) new Swiss Business seat – a spacious workplace that converts into a comfortable flat bed at your wish. Travel professionals have voted Swiss Business Class the best in Europe on multiple occasions. I was able to score one of their limited single throne seating arrangements.

I flew for 11 hours from Zurich, Switzerland to Hong Kong en route back to Guam in 2014. Luckily, I had the chance to try their famous SWISS Taste of Switzerland – only served on flights departing from the motherland. This award winning concept allows some of the top Swiss chefs to create impressive seasonal dishes that combine the country’s unique flavors with their own personal twist.

What are the onboard amenities?

  • Comfort kits & on-board slippers (in the colder months, you can also expect a beanie or a neck warmer)
  • Flat bed seats that recline to a full 2 metre bed with an integrated massage function, air cushion, complimentary duvet & pillows
  • Noise reducing headsets
  • USB ports
  • Premier entertainment

What are the different meal & beverage services?

  • Pre-departure beverage service
  • Customized dining (opt out from the full course & request a light meal)
  • Gourmet dessert selections (ice creams, fresh fruits, cheese and crackers, chocolates, liqueurs)
  • Mid-flight snacks (a necessity for long haul flights)
  • Selection of cocktails, beer, international wines, or freshly brewed coffee

Guess Who’s Back Home

IMG_2274

I can’t believe it’s been over two and a half years since I’ve been back home. I missed the warm clear waters and my favorite foods growing up on Guam. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t as welcoming. For the most part, it was rather gloomy with the occasional sun or simply raining.

Despite my disappointment, the heavy rain created ominously beautiful sunsets.

Day 3 | Swimming with Whale Sharks
This was #handsdown my favorite experience in open water. Born and raised on a tropical island, I’m naturally drawn to the ocean. It’s always been on my bucket list to dive with sharks, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to swim with the largest known species. Words cannot describe the humbling experience being alongside these gentle giants.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

After a 2 hour drive from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz, Mexico, we arrived at our destination, the city’s Malecon. We stored our belongings in designated lockers and geared up with the appropriate snorkeling equipment. We divvied up into smaller boats and cruised off into the Sea of Cortés.

Unless the sharks are feeding they generally swim at a much faster pace, so don’t be surprised by the strong push and pull currents. If you don’t have previous experience snorkeling, then you may struggle a bit to keep up. Although none of the whale sharks we encountered were feeding, we were fortunate enough to spot two of different ages – a baby about 15 ft and one a bit older somewhere between 25-30 ft.

Can you believe they grow even larger as adults?

Day 2 | Outdoor Adventures
As an adrenaline junkie, I was beyond excited to start my first full day of outdoor activities. After our introduction and safety briefing, we zipped across beautiful canyons – part of a UNESCO protected biosphere, rock climbed, balanced on suspended bridges, bungee jumped, and drove through the dusty desert in our very own ATV.
